Amazing day today…

Clear and sunny, 63 degrees.
San Diego-like.

I decided to go to the USO for wi-fi because the library closed early.
(I tried the galley’s patio but it wasn’t working. But I did stay there for a little bit, eating a salad and listening to Bob Dylan on my computer.)

Good thing too because they have printers here. (Like I mentioned before, I [on impulse; bad idea, I have my final 9C test on Tuesday] volunteered to do training for my duty section tomorrow on Edward Preble/Ships named Preble.)

I’d never been to the USO before because it’s located right next to Main Gate which is about a mile away from my barracks as opposed to the library which is right behind my barracks and the weather has never been quite right.

I’ve never walked this way alone before so I never got to stop and read all these plaques that are around the base. Apparently there’s a trail that goes around the base that starts and ends at the museum (which I’ve also been meaning to go to) that takes about 90 minutes to walk.

This would’ve been a perfect day to do it but I have research to do. Dx

According to the weather report on Google it’s going to be raining on Monday so I guess I’m going to be taking a 90 minute walk around the base on Sunday. (I’ve got duty tomorrow.)

Might drag Sami along, she seems interested in history.

EDIT:
Oh. >.<
Just remembered why I started writing this. My last post was a reblog of a Juno quote.
When I was at the galley listening to Bob Dylan it reminded me of when I would sit outside the Mira Mesa library by myself, eating and listening to music on the oddly shaped hill. Then I thought “I wish I had some Moldy Peaches on my computer”.
I walked into the USO and Juno was playing on the TV.

I don’t know what I was expecting when I walked in but the USO definitely does remind me of a home… a really big home. With free stuff.
I may have to hang out here more often.
