Watchstanding
It scares me how many unsatisfactory watchstanders we have here.
But it’s a training command; I’m hoping it’s way better in the Fleet.
I’ve been wanting to get a tattoo but I don’t want to get something so noticeable that my mom will flip out. I think I want “Quis custodiet ipsos custodes” on my wrist (small enough to be covered by my wristwatch).
And no, not because I saw it on Watchmen; I still haven’t seen Watchmen.
I first saw that phrase in Digital Fortress by Dan Brown.
Since I joined the Navy it’s gained more meaning for me.
